Resort infrastructure and self-sufficiency

Everything that keeps a remote resort running, built in from day one

On a remote island, the grid and the water main may not reach you. We build the water, power, and wastewater systems that let a resort run on its own, built in, not bolted on.

One accountable scope

Build the resort, and everything that keeps it running

Most builders stop at the building. The water plant, the power, the wastewater system get handed to other vendors, or bolted on after the resort is designed, once the easy decisions are already made.

We do it differently. We build the resort and the systems that keep it running as one accountable scope. The infrastructure is designed alongside the building, sized for the real loads, and routed and built in from the start, not squeezed in later. One team owns the whole thing, so there is no gap between the resort and the systems inside it, and no one to point at when something does not line up.

On a remote island, that is not a nicety. It is the difference between a property that runs on its own and one that is always one outage, one dry season, or one late delivery away from a problem.

The four systems

The four systems we build

Each one stands on its own, and together they let a property run independent of the grid and the mains.

01The four systems we build

Desalination and Water Treatment

Turns seawater or brackish water into a safe, reliable supply. So your resort never depends on a water main that may not reach it, and never has to ration in a dry season.

02The four systems we build

Wastewater Treatment

Treats and reuses wastewater on site, cleanly and to code. So you meet permitting, protect the site and the water around it, and can put treated water back to work on irrigation.

03The four systems we build

Power Generation

On-site power sized to run the whole property. So guests keep their lights, air conditioning, and hot water through grid outages and storms, without noticing a thing.

04The four systems we build

Solar and Battery

Renewable power with battery storage. So you cut long-term running costs and keep the systems that matter on when the grid goes down.

One system

How the systems work together

Built as one system, the four do more than they would apart.

01 →Solar and batteryCarry the everyday load and cut the fuel the generators burn.
02 →Power generationKeeps the property running through an outage or a storm, and runs the plants.
03 →DesalinationMakes the water the resort needs, sized against the real demand.
04 ↻WastewaterTreats what comes back and returns it to irrigation instead of the ground.

Each part is sized against the others, so nothing is oversized, nothing is left short, and the whole thing is planned as a single load from day one.

Solar and battery storage carry the everyday load and cut the fuel the generators burn. The generators and the battery keep the property running through an outage or a storm. The desalination plant makes the water the resort needs, and the wastewater plant treats what comes back and returns it to irrigation instead of the ground.

We design it, build it, and commission it, then hand it over ready to run, with the documentation your team needs to operate and maintain it. And because the same people build the resort, the systems fit the building they serve, not a generic spec.

Scope the systems for your site

Every site is different, and the right mix of systems depends on yours. Tell us about your project and we will scope what it takes to run it on its own.

Why it matters

Why it matters for your resort

Infrastructure is not the part of a resort guests come to see, but it is the part that decides whether their stay goes right.

And because one team builds all of it, you get honest advice on what your site actually needs, not a bigger system than the job calls for. We are a specialized builder, not a volume one, and a licensed general contractor in Florida and the US Virgin Islands.

Continuity. When the grid or the water fails across the island, your property keeps running and your guests keep their comfort. On a remote site, an outage is not an inconvenience, it is a bad review.
Lower running costs.Solar, storage, and right-sized systems cut what a property spends on fuel and water over its life, not just on the day it opens.
Cleaner compliance.Water and wastewater built to code and handled as part of the project, so permitting is a step you clear rather than a problem you inherit.
Sustainability you can claim.On-site renewable power and water reuse are real, verifiable, and part of the story you tell guests and investors.

How we deliver

Beyond infrastructure

Infrastructure is one half of what we do. The other is the build itself, and the different ways we can deliver it, from general contracting to construction management, design-build, pre-construction, and owner's representation. Same team, same standard, whichever way you build.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Why does a resort need its own water and power?

On a remote island, the public grid and water main may be unreliable, far away, or simply not there. Building your own water, power, and wastewater systems lets a resort run independently, protects guests from outages and shortages, and removes the risk of depending on infrastructure you do not control.

How do the four systems work together?

They are built as one system. Solar and battery cut the fuel the generators burn, the generators and battery carry the property through outages, desalination supplies the water, and the wastewater plant treats and reuses it. Sized against each other and planned together, they run more efficiently than four systems added separately.

Can you add this infrastructure to an existing resort, or only a new build?

Both. It is most efficient designed into a new build from the start, because loads and space are planned for it. But we also add or upgrade systems on existing properties, which is common where an aging grid, a water shortage, or new permitting has made self-sufficiency necessary.

Who runs the systems after they are built?

We design, build, and commission the systems, then hand them over ready to run, with the documentation your team needs to operate and maintain them. If you want a hand setting up operations or training your staff, we can arrange that as part of the project.

Is off-grid power reliable enough for a resort in a storm?

Yes, when it is built right. Solar panels alone will not keep a resort running in an outage. It takes battery storage and the ability to island from the grid, plus on-site generation for long events. Built together and sized correctly, the system keeps the essentials on when the grid goes down.

Talk to our team

If you are planning a resort or a remote project, the infrastructure is worth talking about early, while it can still be designed into the build. Email the team, tell us about your site, and we will tell you honestly what it takes to run it on its own. If you would rather look first, see what we have built or download our capability statement, and when you are ready to put a project in front of us, send us an RFQ.
